Post My LDPush/Pump Hybrid Idea
I watch the way the Yerkes just wreck shit on their Evos, but I hate the Evo. I think it's awesome that it's .25" off the ground, pumpable do to the wedging, and stable; but I also think it's way too long, way too wedged, and way too thick. I mean, 6 years ago it was probably the shit, but they haven't changed it at all. I think it has some great innovative ideas, but it needs to be updated to the times. So here's my idea.

-9 plies
-37" Length (platform and wheelbase pending)
-7º wedge/dewedge

Anyone know where I can get one made? :D

That thing looks like it's 15 plies.

haha. looks like a less intense wanna be evo. the idea sounds cool, I appreciate the compliment  . I wish the evo was a little shorter for DH, but I think for high speed pumping the length helps to an extent. 9 plies would be awesome. Here's my thoughts -

The longer wheelbase makes the turning radius longer, which allows you to make a more elongated 'S' with full power carves. A shorter wheelbase would make a shorter 's' when pumping. This means you turn more and cover more horizontal distance in porpotion to the amount you're traveling forward per pump. You have to put in more pumps to get down the ramp, or make less powerful, akwardly long pumps because its too responsive. I believe for pumping 20+ you want the longest wheelbase that will respond fast enough to your quickest pumping motion.

I also think for high speed pumping it helps to have a wider stance and have your foot further forward from the back truck than you would for slalom. The gas pedal on the evo isnt comfortable to pump from imo. With a shorter deck your feet would be on the gas pedal unless you shorten your stance and sacrifice power. Without that extra space, for the evo shape at least, it wouldnt be as effective for pumping at speeds exceeding 20mph.

hope to see you on an Evo soon.

Edit: I really hope we can make some Bee's Kneevo's.

my next board is a landyachyz spud for sure. pete its already dropped so just put 2 seven degree risers where they are needed and there it is.i believe it is right around 37 inches too.you could also just use different baseplate angles.
