You heard it correctly folks, I know we can pull it off. We haven't ran into cops once in the two years we've been here and they did it down at Florida state with some success. We've managed to pack 13 people in the most heated garage we have and there wasn't a single problem, so WE'RE DOING IT GODDAMMIT. November 21st puts us a week before we leave for Thanksgiving Break. Here's what I propose. RULES: -Kicking rules will vary per garage. -We'll throw some buttboarding in there for good measure. -Spin in 5 circles and bomb. -4 man heats -Arrive in front of the Auditorium at 8 PM (http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=East+ ... TERSECTION) -If you don't have a helmet and gloves don't come. I'm sure we have gloves to spare but I don't feel like leaving behind brain juice at garages. -$5 entry Garage #1 (Bessey) - Long and slow with all left turns. You can kick down the whole thing. Garage #2 (Hamster Cage) - 5 floors and fast with all left turns, stop on the 2nd floor or die. You can kick the whole first down. Garage #3 (Grand River) - I'm gonna have to check this one out before I define it. Garage #4 (Comm Arts) - 4 floors and fast with 3 rights and a left. You can kick until the line, then kick and pump the whole bottom flat section. Garage #5 (Wharton) - We have some leeway here, I'm thinking all rights, all lefts, and hit 2 cutbacks. Kick status pending. So it's on. 8 PM at The Aud. If I actually get some interest I'm gonna hit up sponsors. Even if I don't, I'll be at Bessey at 9 PM goddammit! For the out of towners, park in the Psychology Lot (free on weekends) and skate to The Aud (it's across the street.) My room can probably have 4 people, but I know you can find a place to stay. SPONSORS: -PhitPhactor -Modern Skate & Surf -Daddies Board Shop -Bee's Knees Skathletics People Attending: 1. Peter C. 2. Jon S. 3. Derek Y. 4. Carlos D. (?) 5. Conor (?) 6. Dan H. 7. Jason Y. [s]8. Ross Y.[/s] 9. Emily B. 10. LongboardNOW 11. Alex S. 12. Brent Z. 13. Casey V. 14. Taylor F. 15. Tom Risk 16. Adam M. 17. dimebagdrewski 18. Al K. 19. terrel 20. David W. |

F*ckin awesome. I'm there! I can help get more sponsors if you want. five seperate races, or some sort of point system? I'll try to talk some guys up here into comin. We should have at least ten guys right from the get go, so I'd say hit the sponsors and use that to generate more interest. |

I'm stoked. |

For Comm Arts you'll be able to pump the bottom floor because it's flat leading up to the elevator. Each garage will have moderately different rules which will be covered the night of the race. |

you know im there! i dont understand the no pumping at the bottom thing.kind of weak? you should definantly be able to use any form of momentum and gravity. if not me and derek might both get "speed wobbles on the corners". |

I've decided I'm gonna change the kicking rules per each garage. The faster ones should just be tucked IMO and the slower ones should be balls to the walls kick-pump-tuck. |
